A V-type cross arm, which is also known as a double-span arm is used on major installations that entail the use of poles. These include telephone lines, power lines, street lights among others. The cross arm acts as an attachment point for other accessories and fittings that you would like to install on the pole.

The cross arm is V-shaped and has two distinct sides both of which are connected to the pole. U-bolts and double arm bolts are used to connect the arm to the pole for maximum stability.

The body of the cross arm is dotted with numerous holes.  You will connect all the other fittings and accessories to these holes with the help of the matching bolts.

The V-shape design of this cross arm increases the surface area and point of attachment for the other accessories and fittings. It is also simple and easy to connect to the pole.

V-shape cross arm is made of galvanized steel. The metal has a high tensile strength to support the load due to the accessories that are connected to it. The galvanization also shields it from the effects of rust and corrosion.
