HELICAL ANCHOR

Helical anchors are geotechnical tools composed of a steel shaft with helical plates welded near the end.

These anchors can be installed either manually or with power driven equipment.Manual installation is accomplished by inserting a bar through the eye and screwing the anchor down. Installations with portable or vehicle mounted equipment is accomplished by means of adapters. Helical piers are round or squire, tubular or bar steel shafts with round helix plates welded to them.

Their applications include both light and heavy foundation systems for new construction, tie downs for structures subject to uplift, piers to underpin and level structures subject too settlement, and tiebacks and soil nails for the retention of slopes and structures.
