Disk anchors, generally corrosion-protected, are rods positioned in augured holes and filled with grout or soul cutting. Disk anchor assemblies are utilized for extending the services of the anchor in corrosive soils.

These are typically designed for use in alkaline, acidic, and low resistivity soils through electrolyte combinations. The system for the anchors is composed of standard hot-dip galvanized plate anchor rods with some additional coatings and an additional plate anchor in an asphalt-based paint.

The advantage of having such disc anchors means you get a disc anchor designed well for all kinds of soils with electrolyte combinations. Accessible with the anchor eye is forged discreetly with the threaded screw or the rod on the eye. The flanged cap nut of the anchor is called the cast, which is large and made for maximum protection. There is also a heat-shrink sleeve that helps the rod to stay protected from moisture.
